These birds are one of the boldest colored Warblers, they seem to like to show themselves off to the world by fluttering through the trees showing one side then the other and spreading their tail. In the case of the Painted Redstart, the female is just as colorful as the male! They can be found in the southwestern region of the  USA, rarely straying far from their range. They do fly south in the fall, though a few stay through the winter…
