Great Egret
A very large, long-necked bird. They make a guttural croak, especially when you accidently scare them, they don’t like to be startled. Their nests can be found in trees or shrubs close to water. Almost completely disappeared in the USA in the late 1800s, when they were killed for the use in fashion! Luckily they have made a comeback since conservationists have put a stop to the killing of this bird.
