Allen’s Hummingbird
I love when they show off their colors! These birds live in California and Oregon, USA during the summer, but will migrate as far south as southern Mexico in the winter. Their diet consists of mostly nectar and insects. When they get nectar at flowers, they’ll hover in the air and stick their bill into the flower. To get insects, they sometimes will pluck a spider or its trapped prey from a spiders web!
