Red-winged Blackbird
Usually you can hear them in the marshes, brushy swamps and hayfields, but this was the first time I’ve ever saw the nest! She is trying to hide, but we can still see her… luckily I have a good zoom on my camera so I didn’t have to get too close, but she was still keeping an eye on me the whole time I was around! Males have a red patch while femailes and young are a streaky brown. They are a very bold bird, several will attack a larger bird that comes too close to their nesting area!
