The American Oystercatcher Is So Very Similar To The Eurasian Oystercatcher

American Oystercatcher 

With it’s bright red bill this black and white shorebird can be found along beaches and mudflats along the east and gulf coasts of the US.  Unlike the Eurasian Oystercatcher this American shorebird will not stray inland from the coast. In addition to oysters they will eat clams and mussels.
