While I was birding the other day I noticed quite a few butterflies. I really don’t know my butterflies, so I thought that maybe you might know what type of butterfly this is???

There actually were several of them flying around the plants on the edge of a small swamp/pond.

The photo below shows what I think is a dragonfly with very wide wings. At first I thought that this might also be a butterfly, but after getting a closer look I realized that I was wrong…

I have to admit that I know even less about dragonflies than I do about butterflies! Maybe this is something that I should study (give me something to do while I’m still hunkered down)…
